This book is a critical analysis of Ndebele post-colonial literature. It is a literary realist analysis of Ncube's Ndebele novel Lokhu Akungeke Kwenzeke 'This cannot Happen'. the novel tackles the problems brought by ESAP in Zimbabwe, and this book evaluates the representation of ESAP by the author. the book employs the realist method in evaluating the novel, to do the evaluation events in the novel are compared with what really happened during ESAP, as reported by the media of the time and text books on structural adjustment programmes. the book discusses the setting, characters and themes in the novel comparing them with the reality of ESAP in Zimbabwe. the book is good for literature students in secondary, high school and university.
