The rational faculty is something that differentiates the humans from every other species, and this along with our infinite thirst for knowledge regarding the unbounded horizon is best manifested in Mathematics. Thus, mathematics is a compulsory subject at schools everywhere. But the procedure of mathematics education is not fool-proof. In-depth research is extremely important for the all-round development of mathematical education as well. In this volume, the author has tried to identify the use of the major mathematical concepts and the constituent elementary concepts by rank-ordering the latter in the final level 10th-standard mathematics examinations of different Indian School Boards through the task analysis technique. A diagnostic test has been constructed and applied on pupils of standard-I scientifically, and the results thereof have been presented.
