This research work investigate the application of Intelligent Completion for Optimizing production from an Oil Field. The IVICV was investigated in a reactive mode for IW with full production network and the results compared with those of a Open Hole Completion. The Smart well case with reactive control strategy was preferred for the field,as; it can be used as a tool for maximizing reserves recovery-as reservoir management tool, by the use of robust permanent temperature and pressure sensors which have capability to function in HT/HP harsh environment. Another advantage that smart completion have is that, PDM Multiphase Flow Meters, Seismic Sensors, and electrodes have the ability to deliver formation imaging away from the well bore. With better data management, they can be connected from control centers and immediate action taken to changes in down hole conditions. Also the data that is obtained from ICs is used to continually enhance and update the field model and simulations; carry out production tests and interpretations based on individual zones and laterals;prediction of sand and water encroachment;measure water cut and flow rate.
