(b) The relationship between Armed conflicts and education and how the latter, gets affected in conflict zones. (c) The need to promote girl child education in conflict areas. (d) Develop an idea on the need to support peaceful resolution of disputes without necessarily engaging in conflicts. The sequence of the topics discussed begins with the history of Somalia. It is followed by educational history in Somalia, the value of education, armed conflicts and its impact on education and education after the collapse of the Somalia state. Another chapter on female education follows. The second last chapter takes a look at the current challenges to the education sector in Somalia. The last chapter is the future of education in this war-torn country.Lastly, the Author has recommended this book as a history textbook for tutors and lecturers in Somalia’s training institutions.
