The gradual transition of economic and social issues has made an opening and increased competition in the market so as to allow gender participation in all spheres of social, political and economic issues. This has put pressure on Organization to adhere to gender balancing to grant opportunities to both male and female as each individual has a special potential to contribute towards the attainment of vision 2030. Barriers towards career development among women employees in Kenya, explores the challenges that women face as they try to advance in their careers. So as to remain viable and vibrant as per legal requirements by the government of Kenya Organizations have to adhere to 30% representation of women among the total population of employees. The focus of the book is barriers towards career development - an overview is the starting chance to identify the possible challenges that women face at workplace. The challenges are discussed and the strategies to counter the challenges have been underlined. The case study was collected from a state company which takes pride in promotion of women issues and is striving to adher to government regulation of gender balancing.
