The conjectures will enlighten academics and practitioners and will contribute a deeper understanding of the disturbing findings and revelations of what has or has not transpired since the 1960’s. Chapter III examines the outcome of the summit, the current global security concerns, and women’s role in foreign and domestic dialogues across the globe. We further examine the role of women in the protection of borders and the methods of protecting the nation’s populace from war, internal conflict, human rights atrocities, and disease, which according to Potter & Peters (2008) “if left unattended", can lead to rising insecurity, fomenting possible international crises” (p. 2).
