Naturally hotel is recognized as the home away home and often it is a city in a city. Somebody can get any type of services from hotel. Therefore this service sector needs effective and careful management. The foods that we eat, the beverages that we drink, the room that we sleep in, the lobby areas that we rest and other recreational and public areas need to be very clean and neat. Since the growth of the hotel business highly depends on the satisfaction and loyalty of the customer, the employees need to be well trained and professional, customers should be served with big respect and more friendly. The purpose of this research was to compare the management practices of Ghion and Global Hotel the four star hotels in Ethiopia.
