This book is concerned with the discourse analysis of Moroccan partisan newspapers, and my focus will be on three Moroccan partisan papers, namely "Al-Alam", "Al- Ittihad Al- Ichtiraki", and "Attajdid". The choice of this topic derives its relevance and significance from the fact that the partisan press, unlike the independent one, has not been dealt with profoundly in Morocco. My work is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical, and it deals with the definition of the major concepts, namely media, ideology, discourse, and partisanship. It also sheds light on three Moroccan parties, namely Al-Istiqlal Party (The Independence Party), Al-Ittihad Al- Ichtiraki Party (The Socialist Union Party), and Al- Adala Wattanmiya Party (The Justice and Development Party), to pave the way for the discourse analysis of their newspapers in the second part. The second part of this paper, Discourse Analysis of "Al-Alam" Newspaper, "Al-Ittihad Al-Ichtiraki" Newspaper, "Attajdid" Newspaper, is mainly practical. Here, I try to analyse the discourse and show to what extent the the ideology of the political party is manifest in its newspaper.
