Inadequate appreciation of the economic values of wetlands has been identified as one of the underlying factors that contribute to its being perceived as a wasteland, culminating in massive destruction of this highly productive resource . Wetland valuation can be used to consider the public's values of wetland systems and encourage public participation in certain initiatives, and also assist the public in their decision to conserve or destroy the wetland. This book which is based on a study conducted in Southwest, Nigeria assessed the economic value of Eleyele, Eriti, and Lagos lagoon wetlands in Southwest (Nigeria) . It provides an insight on valuation methods and sustainable management of wetlands.
