The basic objective of ecotourism is ecological and socio-cultural conservation as well as bringing sustainable development without damaging the environment. Ecotourism is widely promoted as a conservation tool and actively practiced in protected areas worldwide. It is as a form of leisure conforming to the principles of environmental protection and promoting its natural and cultural values. It conveys positive connotations and implies careful considerations of tourist impact. This industry can be important in developing countries that directly depend on natural resources. Ethiopia has excellent natural, historical and cultural tourism resources.
