This dissertation presents a comprehensive practice of quantitative approaches. The idea of the dissertation is taken from the field of psychology. Emotional intelligence competency is considered one of the most crucial components in ensuring effective leadership in school. People with excellent credentials are put in leadership position and fail because of the absence or presence of certain emotional elements. So, identify knowledge and practice of emotional intelligence competency of school heads for effective school headship was the solely purpose of the study. I believe this small attempt surely helps to unlock eye in new dimension of intelligence. Our behavior and leadership practices are the consequence of interface sandwiched between head and heart. This dissertation helps to comprehend the practice about this distress. In this schoolwork the five point Likert scale was used to collect information and analysis was made by using Mann -Whitney rank sum test, Spearman’s correlation and linear regression analysis. This dissertation specifically helps for those who are interested in psychological research and wants to travel around new idea using positivist approach.
