The book tries to study the effect of emotional intelligence of the employees at MOIL, Nagpur, India on their job satisfaction and performance. While correlating employee emotional intelligence index to the employee?s performance it was found that these two factors are strongly correlated at the executive as well as non executive level. To understand this phenomenon better, four emotional intelligence factors namely self awareness, social awareness, self management and relationship management were further correlated to the employee performance. From the study it can be concluded that there is a strong to moderate positive correlation between performance and self awareness, social awareness and relationship management where as there is a weak positive relation of performance with self management. When these four emotional intelligence factors were correlated to the performance of the non-executive level it was observed that there is a weak positive correlation between performance and self awareness, social awareness and self management where as there is a moderate positive relationship between performance and relationship management.
