The book highlights the management of an organization's workforce, or human resources. It is responsible for the attraction, selection, training, assessment, and rewarding of employees, while also overseeing organizational leadership and culture, and ensuring compliance with employment and labour laws. In circumstances where employees desire and are legally authorized to hold a collective bargaining agreement, HR will typically also served as the company's primary liaison with the employees' representatives. In view of the theoretical and empirical importance of the human resource practice, the present study aims to understand the various policies and porgrammes being implemented by the APSRTC, Srikakulam, Division for the upliftment of organisation. Further, it focuses on the manpower planning and development in the organisation. Lastly the study also aims to understand the role of officials and leaders and their commitment vis-à-vis implementation of the various programmes relating to manpower.
