Global food supply for the increasing population depends on agriculture and its allied sectors, animal husbandry and fisheries sectors. Food security and nutritional security could be achieved with production of clean meat, milk, egg and fish(rich in HUFAs), since they are highly nutritious for the health conscious consumers.There is a need to re-look and reorient the existing programes in extension education for effective transfer of technology and dissemination of technologies developed in Universities and Research Institutes, to reach the un-reached.
