Due to the demographic change in Germany the importance of the topic Geriatric Care increases steadily. To care for a person and work at the same time is a high burden and may lead to conflicts either at home or at work. German companies could combine the problem of labour shortage with the rising number of geriatric care cases and offer support in such situation to their employees. This would mean an integration of geriatric care within the Total Reward System of German companies. A survey analyses if German companies already offer support to their employees in cases of Geriatric care, how they do this and what are conscious and unconscious benefits.
