Rose is the most popular cut-flower the world over. In India it is grown both in the open fields and under the greenhouse condition. While the openly grown roses cater to the domestic markets, greenhouse rose are produced for both domestic and international markets. An experiment entitled “Effect of foliar application of micronutrients on growth and flowering of rose under polyhouse conditions” was conducted at Satpuda Botanic Garden, College of Agriculture, Nagpur during the year July 2008 to Dec. 2008. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with thirteen treatments replicated thrice. The results of present investigation indicated that, the vegetative growth characters, flower yield and flower quality were found superior under 0.3% ZnSO4 + 0.3% MnSO4 + 0.3% FeSO4. Therefore, it is concluded that spraying of 0.3% ZnSO4 + 0.3% MnSO4 and 0.3% FeSO4 micronutrients at fortnight interval be applied for obtaining higher yield of quality flowers of rose under polyhouse conditions.
