The paper describe the pre and post postion of the PTCL when Etisalat acquire it. it describe that acquisition or merger is not a great deal for any company when one company go for expansion. the example is Pakistani company that was sold to UAE telecommunication giant Etisalat. and it turned out to be a big failure as the PTCL earnings goes down dramatically, and deal led down the firm to its failure. there are many things that has to be consider before any company go for some merger or acquisition. that is what i discuss in this paper. the basic purpose of any expansion is to increase the shareholder wealth. and if this purpose does not fulfilled, the expansion project gets failed and firms bear losses in terms of profits and goodwill. it also leave a question mark on the ability of the higher management to take decisions on the behalf of shareholders.
