Executive compensation has increased dramatically in recent years due to the acuteness of agency conflict between shareholders and managers. How should the owners build the incentive system for management in order to minimize agency costs and maximize company's value? The study employs value-based management theory as a tool of resolving agency conflicts and investigates how it functions in the context of different ownership structure.
