This is an annual herb grown in Gujarat & Rajasthan States of India. It is nothing but a filmy upper layer of Isabgol Seeds. It has a significant property of absorbing water and form a bulk mucilage. Its action is purely mechanical and its efficiancy is entirely due to the large quantity of mucilage present in the husks.
