The book attempts to capture legal issues that impinge on Engineering Profession. Such issues include environmental control, contracts, engineering ethics and engineering related laws. All issues connecting Engineering Profession with legal matters may not have been captured in this edition. However each chapter is distinct and can hold its own without any apparent departure from the other chapters. Hopefully, there will be improvement in subsequent edition. Engineering law explains the interaction of law and industry. Engineering law is therefore designed to reduce, if possible, eliminate the adverse effects of engineering activities on the environment. This book discusses in one swoop environmental control measures and the interaction of law with industry in relation to engineering activities. The greatest engineering progress is achieved through the effective control of environment/ engineering activities to derive optimum benefits for humanity.
