In current era change has become important for organizations to compete, grow or even survive. Mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures are major change events which organizations normally undergo. Motivation to write this book came from the fact that even the rate of failure of mega change events like mergers or acquisitions is very high, very few studies provide conclusive reasons for these failures. Not many serious attempts had been made to investigate the role of ‘effective change management’ for successful mergers and acquisitions. Main purpose of this research is to investigate, whether effective change management can increase rate of successful mergers. Moreover, this book highlights the relationship of cultural issues and change events.
