The warming of our planet due to anthropogenic interference in the natural climatic system is widely ascertained among the scientific community. Adverse impacts of the consequences of global warming are recorded affecting natural ecosystems and socio-cultural and socio-economic systems. Public awareness of the matter is conceived to be crucial in terms of addressing the problem through policy instruments. It in turn requires assessment of existing knowledge for identifying public education needs. It has been found out, in this research, that there does exist basic awareness but also some misconceptions and confusions. The inclusion of the issue in curricular design across all disciplines is recommended as a lasting solution.
