For centuries, the Ethiopian farmers have been producing chickpea for consumption and market. These days, the crop is also becoming one of the export commodities in the country. However, its production is being confronted by problems associated with usage of sub standard quality seed. Thus, in order to solve the problems, producers of the crop should use superior quality seed. Quality analysis such as physical purity test,physiological quality test and health quality analysis are mechanisms to measure the quality standard of seed from any sources. The out come of the work is helpful for Agricultural researchers, Agricultural University professionals, Agricultural students, private and public seed companies, seed marketing institutions and farmers.
