All the religions of the world have their own learning centers where religious education is imparted to their respective followers. Likewise, Islam has also its learning places under the name of Deeni Madaris (Religious Institutions). Madaris are considered as the fortresses of Islam and their basic aim is to produce the agents of Allah on earth. These Deeni Madaris have been working since their emergence to mould the ideas, beliefs, thoughts, and expressions as per the injunctions of Islam. After the incident of 9/11, the Deeni Madaris of Pakistan were targeted for producing terrorists, militants, fundamentalists and extremists. All these allegations against the religious Institutions of Islam were based upon hearsay. It is worth-mentioning that Islam is a religion of peace and love and, in that context, it does a great job by providing religious education to its followers. The present study is an attempt to probe into such baseless allegation of the Western world and also to see the role of the Muslim Religious Institutions in the character building of the youngsters. This study is carried out in Charsadda, a prominent district of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan.
