Since education is a way of creating knowledge, skill and improving the social well being of the society, a well developed leadership practices in primary schools is paramount importance. It is believed that school leadership has a significant role in school improvement program. It has substantial impact for the success and failure of school improvement and provision of quality education. on the contrary, in most cases school leadership was not properly practices as intended. Though the issue of leadership to school improvement is a high priority, studies conducted in this area were insignificant. Hence, it is believed that this study will contribute to the very limited work done in this sphere so far. In addition, it is hoped that the finding of this study ma contribute to others who have interest to undertake similar study. if is also intended to give some insight to the leadership practice in school improvement programs implementation. finally, is is hoped that educational planners, policy makers, educational institutions might make use of the study as appropriate.
