Competencies are increasingly becoming important in the lives of individuals, employees, career practitioners and also organization supervisors, team leaders, managers, executives and other professionals/ leaders. Due to their growing importance, it is important to unerstand what competencies are and are not, and to have a vocabulary and framework of conceptualizing and discussing this human resource concept and the technology surrounding its application. Different upgradation training programmes are organized to improvise competencies. All competencies can not be developed by all persons through traing, education or experience, these are motivation, preserverance, patience, self relisience, decision making, exploration, interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, which are referred as soft competencies.
