This book, Strategic Planning for Health; Beyond the routine is differently developed. It considers Strategic Planning in a key to successful health planning and execution. The conceptual approach of this book is Macro to Micro planning or out-inwards. The overall message of this book is that, Strategic Planning must follow the 3-Phased approach which is need-driven ideas, evidence-based formulation and result oriented implementation. The book is composed of five chapters. The first chapter is about strategic planning for health which illustrates the strategic planning definition and process and the tools needed. Chapter two is about health sector reforms and change management. The third chapter is titled research study design for strategic planning. Chapter four is rarely found in other strategic planning books, which is epidemiology and biostatistics for strategic planning for health. And the last chapter talks about strategic alliances and partnerships for health. As we live in an extra-ordinary interacting and swiftly changing world, we need to ally and we need to partner so as we will be able to share resources and knowledge with some potential allies and partners.
