In most of the developing countries of the world as the Sudan is no exception, there is a great need for the improvement of the existing free range poultry systems in rural areas. The book enlisted most factors leading to low production and productivity in poultry in rural areas. In addition it contained suggestions for alleviating most handicaps encountered in poultry production. The micro-credit programs and providing loans for rural communities is of paramount importance for helping in food security and generating among small scale poultry farmers in rural areas in Sudan.
