The Systems Theory Approach in the development of team ministry structures has proved to engage a spirit of synergy amongst team members. This approach opens up opportunities for members within any team to develop strategic mechanisms in the creation of team goals, values, norms, sanctions and mission. As members participate in discovering their mission together , they continuously refine the dynamics that identify their vision and thus are able to start their mission journey of unity in cohesion. Team members then operate together in synergy with common goals within their internal and external environments. If the team establishes a common identity it then becomes possible for evangelism and mission to unfold. With the shortage of clergy in the Anglican Church, we are able to continue with exiting ministry processes if we are open to engaging our laity in the development of shared team ministry programs.
