The main concentration of this work is the diabetes self-management encouraging elderly diabetics in performing physical activity. This aspect of lifestyle modification is supported with the self-implemented mobile application named “DiaSport”. "DiaSport" is implemented to assist elderly diabetics in monitoring the relationship between their physical activity and health condition and to encourage them to make an educated choice regarding their lifestyle. This study was limited to the period of only 2 weeks and conducted with 14 people to explore the potential of such an application. Results suggest that an approach to promote physical activity for elderly by using mobile application is promising due to positively evaluated usefulness, effectiveness and overall satisfaction of participants with regard to the DiaSport.
