One of the most important but often neglected areas of study in developing countries is the role of Tertiary Institutions (TIs) in producing human resource for development. This book is an academic innovation that informs developing countries the connection between TIs and development particularly in countries grappling with poverty, unemployment, inequalities and corruption. The book comes out when the liberal vision of Tertiary Education (TE) has caused a crisis in developing countries by taking TE to the market and the academic side of providing Quality Education (QE) is largely neglected. The book shows that TE should not be sought for its own sake, nor should TE be given just to fill and profit from the market but rather holistic development should be the leading factor.
