This book is about small-scale entrepreneurs (SSEs) contribution to job creation among the youth. The problem of the study is: there is high unemployment rate among the educated youths and yet less educated SSEs employ themselves. The objectives of the study were: to examine the contribution of SSEs to job creation; the characteristics and skills responsible for job creation; attitude of the youth toward SSEs; factors that constrain SSE initiatives and job training strategies. Fieldwork study consisting of 467 participants was carried out in Kampala through interviews, questionnaires, checklists and focus groups discussions.
