In this backdrop, women take necessary measures for adapting with flood related hazards. This book aims to look at the role of women in adaptation to flood hazard. The study observed that well equiped shelter centre, long and short term knowledge dissemination training, awareness session on food management and adoptation strategies can protect women from vulnerabilities in disasters. If necessary measures can be taken, women can play an effective role in disaster management in Bangladesh, particularly in flood related disaster.
