Chapter one is the introduction which starts with background information focusing on the importance of water to human and ecological existence.The challenges of providing water were stressed and the fact that the availability, quantity and quality of water depends on its watershed. Next is the problem statement which highlights the problems the study intends to tackle, the purpose and significance of the study. Chapter two deals with review of related literature and empirical researches which enabled the authors to establish the gap which this study intends to cover.Also, watershed management models were reviewed.Chapter three dwells on the methodology used in carrying out the research work. The presentation and discussion of results of the study is in Chapter four. In chapter five, summary, conclusion and recommendations based on the findings of the study are presented.The study concluded among other things the closeness of watersheds to farm and residential houses and recommended the promulgation of national policy on watersheds to address all the issues raised in the study.
