This book offers an investigatory analysis about the current position of Turkish Health Policy. The approach specifically concentrates over the implementation of one aspect of New Public Management in this sector, for an overall developmental structure. The basic criterion is to look into the prevalent conditions of Turkish Health Policy and its limitations in meeting the public demands and needs. The lack of proper management of public part is considered as the weakest elemental condition of this sector and thus modification through New Public Management is getting under mandatory strategic plan. Moreover, this book deals with the performance of hospitals under Ministry of Health, a basic objective gets marked as the implementation of NPM under the regulations determined by ISO 9001:2000. These hospitals are analysed to understand the difference of following and not-following the quality assessments criteria established by ISO 9001:2000. There is a comparative analysis made over the hospitals under Ministry of Health, with and without ISO 9001:2000; ISO is a clear example of NPM ideas being introduced.
