The book “Warme Shoab Muzmin (chronic bronchitis) and spirometry” is actually dissertation submitted by me to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of M.D in Moalejat (Medicine). Warme Shoab Muzmin is one of the commonest diseases affecting respiratory system. Despite whirlwind advancement in technology and drug development, Warme Shoab Muzmin still defies all sorts of treatment approaches and stares in face with attending morbidity and mortality. In this unpromising scenario, the alternative therapies are gaining grounds and hold the centre stage for reappraisal of rather anachronistic modes of treatment. Unani medicine is one of the alternative pathies which is still viable in the treatment of chronic disorders. Unani medicine swears by such drugs which have been used in W S M (chronic bronchitis) successfully and stood the test of the time. It is the high time that safety and efficacy of these drugs should be validated scientifically on modern parameters. Hence, a clinical trial was conducted with the objective of providing safe, effective and economic drug in the management Warme Shoab Muzmin.
