Prime Video in October 2026: Six Stories Worth a Look

Updated on: 27 SEPTEMBER 2026, 08:16 PM IST

October calls for a good watchlist: horror for a late night, a tense action series for the weekend or a film to share with friends. The material supplied for this guide points to six titles, from Carrie to Masterplan. Their story hooks are worth exploring even though the screenshots do not confirm Prime Video India availability or release dates. Here is what each promises on the page, and who might want to look it up.

October watchlist at a glance

Dates are claims from the supplied screenshots, not verified India premieres. They are planning leads, not calendar reminders.

Three series to look up

Carrie: horror with a longer runway

The supplied description presents Mike Flanagan's take on Stephen King's Carrie as an eight-episode story about Carrie White, her mother and the fallout from Carrie's extraordinary powers. A series format could leave more room for the relationships and community around the central character than a feature film. If you prefer psychological tension to quick jump scares, this is the pitch to investigate. The reported episode count, cast and October date should be checked against the production's official listing before publication as confirmed facts.

Helluva Boss: animation with an edge

The screenshot describes a third-season instalment following Blitzo and the I.M.P. crew through further dangerous assignments. Its appeal is the collision of absurd comedy with a fantastical setting, not family-friendly cartoon comfort. If adult animation is your thing, look up its age guidance, the season number and the actual platform before you build a binge night around the claimed 14 October date.

The Terminal List: a return to action

Chris Pratt's military thriller is the action option on this shortlist. The supplied synopsis promises more conspiracies and revenge in a second season. For viewers who enjoyed the first season's tactical, high-stakes tone, that is an obvious reason to check for an update. The screenshot's 21 October premiere claim has not been confirmed for India, so don't assume that the new episodes will be playable on that day.

Three film and special ideas

Love of Your Life: a quieter evening

The supplied film description pairs a romance with grief and changes in the characters' lives. That makes it a different choice from the list's horror and action entries. The screenshot names Margaret Qualley and Gabriel Basso and gives 14 October as a date; those casting and availability details require direct confirmation before they can be treated as film credits or a Prime Video India release.

Masterplan: a heist with family trouble

A Mona Lisa theft is the hook, but the more unusual part of the screenshot's premise is a crew who turn out to be the thief's long-lost children. A family reunion inside a caper could make for a lighter alternative to a straight crime thriller. The reported cast and 16 October date are leads to check, not a reason to call this a confirmed Prime Video film.

Last One Laughing: Halloween: seasonal comedy

The supplied list proposes a Halloween-themed variation on a comedy format where contestants try not to laugh. That sounds suited to a group watch rather than a serious solo binge. Its exact title, format, cast and 23 October launch claim have not been independently established here. Verify the listing before calling it an October special.

Which one fits your evening?

Choose the Carrie premise for a horror mood, The Terminal List for action, Helluva Boss for adult animation, Love of Your Life for a romantic drama, Masterplan for a caper or the proposed Last One Laughing special for comedy. This is a comparison of story pitches in the supplied material, not a critic ranking. No verified audience scores or viewing figures were provided.

Before paying for another service or inviting friends over, search the exact title in your Prime Video India account. Check the synopsis, age guidance, language options and whether access is included with your membership, requires an add-on or costs extra. For a relaxed night in, keep a second playable choice ready. If you're also browsing everyday personal care, the Lukewarm collection is one option; no cosmetic product is necessary for, or medically linked to, watching a screen.
